Arsha Kaviania – Scriabin Sonata No 8

Arhsa played this yesterday at the RCM. I found it to be very moving, and as I sat there with my eyes closed, I could sense the colour, movement and layers and layers of energy. I could also see hummingbirds everywhere:)

Thank you so much for sharing this, Janet. I have to tell you, that your blessing… and the sending of messengers in my direction… have just recently been realized. I have been meeting more and more hummingbirds in the last month, and this morning listened to a concert of two of them. Their song was so delicate and beautiful. Of course, I thought of you.

Dearest Janet,   I have sent you several emails but I have not gotten an answer.  Is the best way to contact you now?   This was the first time I have had a chance to listen to this wonderful musician.  It is the kind of music that is the essence of my soul.  I have a dear friend who won the “Van Cliburn” award in 1962.  We were a couple for the summer of the next year.  He created music for many movies and TV shows over the more current years.  I will have to discuss this pianist with him.   Hope you are doing well.  You certainly are active.  Please let me know if this is your private email address or not.   Much love,   Ellen

Hi Ellen, I don’t understand why I haven’t received your e mails. I received one a while ago…but that was all. My e mail address is which I think you have! Anyway so pleased that you got to listen to Arsha play. He is an amazing pianist and composer and has been soloist with several major international orchestras…..and he’s still only 24.
Yes, I am very busy these days, which is great. When I was commuting back and forth to Kent for three years caring for my Mother, I lost over three years work…and so since my Mother has been in the nursing home (now three and a half years) I have been able to get back on schedule again. My move to London from Wales, nine years ago was a good move for me. Anyway, please try to e mail me again at my e mail address….and let’s see if we can get things moving. Janet. xxx
