I hope these two images, the sunflower and the magical hummingbirds, bring a sense of sunshine and hope to those who are suffering from a long, snowy, cold winter, as well as those living in more moderate climes who simply need a lift.
watercolour/gouache
Yesterday, I had my weekly Skype conversation with my daughter. Christie lives in Cambridge, Boston and said that it’s beginning to feel like there has been snow on the ground for ever.
It’s hard to tell because of drifting and mountains of snow from the constant ploughing, but there are still several feet of snow on the ground…..along with freezing temperatures and wind.
And so, here are some Magical Hummingbirds surrounded by the flora and fauna of summer. Spring really is just around the corner…..
A bientôt
There is no snow where I live, but it is pretty wintery and grey so your beautiful and lifting colours certainly help to lift my spirits as they always do

Vibrant and full of life. Thanks Janet!
Both paintings are truly uplifting. For some reason, when I look at yellow, it makes me smile. But i think these would be beautiful no matter what colors you used. Hugs!
