Taking a break…..

For all my friends during this holiday season.

My Life as an Artist (2)

“People say that what we’re all seeking is the meaning of life.   I don’t think that’s what we’re seeking.  I think what we are seeking is an experience of being alive, so that our life experiences on the purely physical plane will have resonances with our innermost being and reality, so that we actually feel the rapture of being alive.”     Joseph Campbell 1904-1987

There is nothing so poignant as the passing of a loved one, and their message of living each moment of our precious time on earth. Thanks so much, Janet, for sharing your beautiful art and the wisdom of life. And enjoy your break, the holidays, your friends, and the beauties that abound. Your art is such a gift, thank you, dear friend, for never stopping and always sharing. The first watercolor is especially exquisite.

Good morning Margaret – thank you – and wishing you and yours a very merry Christmas and a wonderfully creative 2018. Sounds like it’s starting out on the right footing. I will be with fellow artist friends over the holidays with much music and dancing and so plan to have my sketching stuff with me. janet 🙂 x

For some strange reason I haven’t been receiving any of your posts, I’ve followed again so hopefully that will solve the problem.
A lovely post, as always. I loved the paintings and the quote. I read somewhere recently that we are not humans looking for a spiritual experience, rather spiritual beings experiencing being human. That felt right to me. Have a marvelous Christmas and a wonderful break.xxx

I have also heard that – and believe it to be true. We are spiritual beings – and I do think spend our lives seeking spiritual experience. Knowing that is key to find that experience. I hope you, Hubs and all the family (including all the furies) have a fab holiday season and a new year filled with good health, peace, love and much creativity. Janet xxxx

I hope you’ve had a wonderful and beautiful holiday season Janet – enjoying it doing those things you love, seeing the people you treasure and taking time to refresh and invigorate your soul. I’m sorry for your loss and hope that 2018 brings you peace. Thank you my friend for always being present and encouraging – can’t tell you what it means to me.
